Well, ladies, it is my last day as Goods’ Style Doctor. We are taking a break for a while, so what better way to finish than with the new trends for the beginning of a new year – and what amazing styles there are on the High Street. Wow!

The nautical look is back again and, I think with all the expected rain, we should feel right at home in this style. Red, navy and black stripes are hugely popular and extremely flattering.

The Navajo look is one of the biggest trends for Spring 2012! These may sound OTT, but believe me, you can carry off this look very easily for day and nightwear. Layering with different textures is key to pulling off this trend, so wear with suede faux fur and sheepskin.

Keep your colour palettes warm and vibrant with rusts, oranges, corals and tan – from clothing to shoes and accessories, invest in one piece at least.

Corals, greens, blues and the more nuetral colours of cream, beige and tan are the latest and greatest colur trends. I absolutely love the coral, orange and rust colours – they are so earthy and perfect for our Irish complexions.
