We are taking a break for a while, so what better way to finish than with the new trends for the beginning of a new year – and what amazing styles there are on the High Street. Wow!

The nautical look is back again and, I think with all the expected rain, we should feel right at home in this style. Red, navy and black stripes are hugely popular and extremely flattering.

The Navajo look is one of the biggest trends for Spring 2012! These may sound OTT, but believe me, you can carry off this look very easily for day and nightwear. Layering with different textures is key to pulling off this trend, so wear with suede faux fur and sheepskin.

Keep your colour palettes warm and vibrant with rusts, oranges, corals and tan – from clothing to shoes and accessories, invest in one piece at least.

Corals, greens, blues and the more nuetral colours of cream, beige and tan are the latest and greatest colur trends. I absolutely love the coral, orange and rust colours – they are so earthy and perfect for our Irish complexions.

Well, we are definitely having a major baby boom in Ireland at the moment, and what better way to celebrate this than to do a full feature on maternity wear for all you expectant mothers out there.

Goods of High Street has made it through to the finals of the retail ‘Oscars’, the prestigious Best Shop Awards UK & Ireland 2011. The High Street retailer saw off competition from world renowned stores including Harrods and Harvey Nichols to be selected as a finalist for Best Department Store 2011. Goods is one of only three Irish department stores selected to compete for the Award and is the only store in the South East to make the final.

Following the nomination of its dedicated lingerie department ‘Lingerie at Goods’ for the Best Shop Awards earlier this year, Goods and its staff has undergone rigorous judging by the Awards team to secure its coveted place in the final. ‘Lingerie at Goods’ was judged across several categories including customer service, product knowledge and customer loyalty. It’s that time of year again, ladies, that I absolutely love – pulling out your winter woollies and cosying up. It’s all about wool this year and my, do we have a selection for you this week.
